Dining with Dubya

Even if you get to sit at the same table as a former president, as I was lucky enough to do a couple of days ago at an event in Monreal, you don’t really get to know him. Still, this is a food blog and I had lunch with George W. Bush, so, I am duty bound to tell you what little I can (and some of it has to do with food):

– He likes his beef tenderloin very rare, but doesn’t eat much of anything

– It’s hard to get good food when your eating lunch with 999 other people, even if you’re at the president’s table.

– GWB drinks diet coke.

– He eats with his fork in his right hand and his left hand in his lap, which makes him look smaller.

– He likes Mexican food

– You can’t really hear anything he says when 998 other people are all talking at once, which is really too bad because, after all,  how often do you get to have lunch with a president?
